President Al-Sisi and the President of the Senate of Equatorial Guinea develop bilateral relations…

His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with the Speaker of Equatorial Guinea’s Senate Teresa Efua Asangono. The meeting was attended by Speaker of the Egyptian Senate Counselor Abdel Wahhab Abdel Razek and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry.
Spokesman for the Presidency Counselor Ahmed Fahmy said President El-Sisi asked for his greetings to be conveyed to President Teodoro Obiang, highlighting the distinguished relations between Egypt and Equatorial Guinea and noting the keenness to enhance cooperation between the two countries across various fields, whether at the bilateral or continental levels, especially enhancing intra-African trade and investments, and maintaining continental peace and security.
The Speaker of Equatorial Guinea’s Senate delivered a letter to the President from President Obiang, in which he expressed deep appreciation for Egypt and the Egyptian leadership, valued continuous progress in the course of relations between the two countries, and looked forward to strengthening bilateral relations at various levels. This is in light of Egypt’s efforts to meet the aspirations of the African peoples towards stability, development and prosperity and Egypt’s effective contribution to advancing joint African action.
The meeting touched on ways to strengthen bilateral relations, especially at the parliamentary level, in addition to enhancing Egyptian investments in Equatorial Guinea, improving trade rates between the two countries, and supporting development and capacity building in Equatorial Guinea in various sectors.
