President Sisi and the King of Jordan discuss preparations for the tripartite summit on Arab Palestine

yesterday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, at El-Alamein International Airport. His Majesty King Abdullah II’s visit to Egypt includes participating in the trilateral summit between Egypt, Jordan and Palestine in New Alamein City.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmad Fahmy, said President El-Sisi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II held a session of talks, during which they expressed relief at the advanced level of the outstanding relations between Egypt and Jordan and the progress they have achieved across various levels. The two leaders confirmed that they look forward to further strengthening relations so as to contribute to achieving the interests of the two countries and their peoples, at both the bilateral level and within the framework of the Tripartite Cooperation Mechanism with Iraq, particularly at the economic and trade levels.
The meeting reviewed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, in light of the two countries’ roles, which aim to reinforce the foundations of stability, peace and development in the region and at the international level. The two leaders also discussed developments in the Palestinian cause. They agreed to further enhance their countries’ efforts to provide full support to the bothers in Palestine and work on reviving the peace process to achieve a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, in line with international legitimacy.
